Upgrading Subscription Plans

TRIOS Only

TRIOS Only is a basic service agreement that enables budget-sensitive dental professionals to be part of the digital scanning revolution with zero ongoing costs.

Updates to the TRIOS software are included in TRIOS Only, and you will benefit from continuous improvements to existing features. When 3Shape launches new and innovative features, we may decide to make some of them available exclusively to TRIOS Care customers.

Note: Customers with TRIOS Only subscriptions can get support either from their reseller or directly from 3Shape. 3Shape may, at its discretion, charge a fee for offering support under the TRIOS Only terms and conditions.

New TRIOS customers can switch to TRIOS Only after their initial complimentary 1-year TRIOS Care service agreement expires as shown in the picture below.

Switching from CliniCare to TRIOS Only

Note: If you were a CliniCare subscription owner and were switched to TRIOS Care, you should commit to a 24-month subscription, after which you will be able to switch to TRIOS Only. In the last 90 days of the 24-month period, you can opt out directly to TRIOS Only.

To request an opt-out to TRIOS Only, you should contact your responsible reseller to execute the change with 3Shape or contact 3Shape Support to get more information about TRIOS Only eligibility and the process.

Upgrading to TRIOS Care

An upgrade from TRIOS Only to TRIOS Care can happen at any time and will be active immediately after the request has been processed. To be upgraded to TRIOS Care, please contact 3Shape Support.

Warranty After Upgrading to TRIOS Care

If you upgrade from TRIOS Only to TRIOS Care, you will not be covered by the warranty within the first 90 days of TRIOS Care. More details can be found here.

Dongle Changes and Renewal Date

The changes on the dongle will become available from the 1st of the next month.
