- Does this new workflow allow us to use Dentsply Sirona's equipment inside of something like Produce or TDS.
Answer: Not currently due to limitations on Produce and DS Core.
- Which support group will handle questions when the outcome is not as expected? Scan quality vs. manufacturing or maybe a combination of both.

- After a new purchase who should we connect to do DS part for onboarding and training of DS products?

- On the lab side we do have the 3rd Party IOS Inbox to receive Dentsply Sirona IOS cases in the Dental System. Is this inbox still needed to receive the cases from Dentsply Sirona?

- Which products are in scope for the TRIOS meets Prime workflow?
Answer: The workflow via DS Core supports PrimeMill, PrimePrint and MCXL mills.
- Where does the bite scan come from on DS Core?
Answer: The bite scan comes from 3Shape Unite as all standard cases.
- How to communicate case instructions?
Answer: As this workflow is intended as a manufacturing workflow, the cases comments are not deemed relevant for now.
- Can pre-preparation scan be used in tech design software?
Answer: This is not relevant for the given workflow.
- In which countries this workflow is available?
Answer: The availability of the workflow will follow the DS Core platform availability, currently available in the following regions and countries:
EMEA: IT, ES, FR, DE, AT, CH, NL, UK, SE, DK, FI, NO, IS
NAM: US, CA
LATAM: BR
APAC: AU, NZ, CN, JP, KR
- How do I establish a connection to DS Core?
Answer: Please refer to the Account pairing process in the related article: TRIOS meets Prime. Installation and user-guide
FAQ: DS Core to Dental System
The workflow is designed for Labs, to be able to receive cases from DS Core in Dental System. Find more details in: DS Core to Dental System. Installation and user guide.
- Which Dental System version is required to utilize the DS Core Integration?
Answer: To utilize DS Core Integration, please upgrade to Dental System 23.1 or later. You can contact your reseller for upgrade instructions.
- Is the license paid yearly or monthly?
Answer: The licence for 3rd party inbox in Dental System is paid on a yearly basis.
- Does the tier count per saved case or saved scan?
Answer: The tier for Dentsply Sirona Integration is deducted per case.
- Can I still receive Dentsply Sirona IOS scans in the DS Core Integration when my tier is exhausted?
Answer: When you exceed your license tier, you can either choose to increase your tier to the next level or use CAD points per saved case.
- How long does it take to download scans?
Answer: It will take around 1-2 minutes for scans to be downloaded.
- Are margin lines visible in Dental Designer if they were set on Sirona side?
Answer: Yes, margin lines are not only visible but also allow designing the restoration according to this information.
- Can we see/preview scans from Sirona on 3Shape Communicate?
Answer: Neither images nor scans are displayed on Communicate portal. Scans will only be displayed in 3Shape Dental System.
- Can we see materials in Dental Manager that were selected on Sirona side?
Answer: If the selected material exists in the Dental System, it will be mapped automatically. Otherwise, the 3Shape Dental System allows you to use the usual inbox conversion rules for material mapping.
