When to calibrate your TRIOS scanner

TRIOS scanners must be calibrated regularly to maintain the performance of the scanner and ensure high-quality scans, as well as after it has been moved, shaken, or experienced a wide range of temperature changes. The frequency of calibration may differ depending on what type of scanner you have. To check which scanner you have see here.

TRIOS 3

It is recommended to calibrate the TRIOS 3 once every 7 days. If calibration is not done for 7 days the software will automatically remind you. If color calibration has not been for 30 days the shade measurement will be disabled. 

TRIOS 4

Each scanner tip can be used for 21 scans before it will need to be re-calibrated. 

To see individual tip information, including serial number and the number of scans taken:

Step 1: Click on the More tab, and select Settings from the dropdown menu

Step 2: Click on TRIOS 

Step 3: Select Scanner Management 

Step 4: In the selected scanner box you will see the total number of uses for that tip, and the number of scans before the next calibration.
