"Error running Splint Studio. Path to Splint Studio was not set" when trying to start design in Splint Studio from Dental System

Dental System 2.19.3.0 and higher has a full integration with Splint Studio based on 3Shape Dental Desktop - i.e. the splint order can be created and scanned in Dental System and then designed in Splint Studio.

! NOTE: before attempting to design splint cases from Dental System, the user should make sure Splint Studio module is installed in Dental Desktop. 

When trying to launch design in Splint Studio from Dental Manager, there may be an error message: "Error running Splint Studio. Path to Splint Studio was not set. Please specify the path in Control Panel -> System Settings"

Root cause: path to Dental Desktop application with installed Splint Studio module is not set in Dental System Control Panel.

Workaround:

1. Go to Dental System Control Panel > System Settings;
2. Under Splint Studio section provide the path to Dental Desktop application folder Note, that in case of a server installation the path will be \\[PC_NAME]\3Shape Dental System\Dental Desktop, where the [PC_NAME] is the name of the server PC.
3. Save the changes and restart Dental System.
