Site FTP Inbox Settings Are Inactive in Dental System Control Panel (cannot be modified)

The FTP Inbox settings for a lab or manufacturer site may appear grayed out and cannot be modified in "Dental System Control Panel".

Root Cause

The FTP Inbox settings are locked because encryption is enabled on the dongle. When encryption is active, these settings cannot be modified.

Solution

To resolve the issue:

Step 1: Contact support@3shape.com and request verification of whether the encryption can be removed from the dongle.

Step 2: If encryption is removed, reconfigure the FTP site settings as required.

Warning: Removing encryption from the dongle prevents previously encrypted manufacturer orders from being opened. Only orders created after the encryption is removed will remain accessible.
