How company organizations are set up

Administrative Requirements
To use DSO management, you must:
- Be a company administrator
- Know the names or emails of target organizations
Important Considerations
When establishing DSO relationships, keep in mind:
- Invitations explicitly define the rights being granted
- Capabilities may evolve in future releases
- Carefully review permissions before accepting invitations
Security and Privacy
DSO management includes built-in security features to protect organizational data and control access across different levels of the hierarchy.
Getting Started
To begin using DSO management, log in as an administrator and navigate to the Organization section. From there, you can start creating your organizational structure and inviting child companies.

1) Search for and select the target company (e.g., “Child Smiles”)

2) Click “Invite” and send the invitation. The child appears in the structure with the status “Invitation sent” until it accepts

As the invited (child) company admin:
1) Sign in to 3Shape Account
2) You will see an invitation card from the parent company (e.g., “Parent Dental”)

3) Review the access summary
4) Click “Accept” to establish the relationship (or “Decline” to reject)
After acceptance, both companies can see the updated hierarchy in the “Organization” tab (parent and child relationships)
To remove a relationship:
1) Select the relationship(s) to remove (parent and/or child)

2) Click “Remove” and confirm. The companies become independent again
