Resolving Empty RPD Orders with "Incomplete/Invalid, Open(Ctrl+M) to correct, Model element is not connected" Error in 3Shape Communicate Inbox
08/11/2023Some RPD (Removable Partial Denture) orders may arrive in 3Shape Communicate Inbox without any scan or design data, even though the sender completed the order.
When opening the order, the following error is displayed:
“Incomplete/Invalid, Open (Ctrl+M) to correct, Model element is not connected.”


Cause
This issue occurs when the RPD Frame used by the sender is not available in the receiving Dental System installation.
Resolution
Step 1: On the sender's system, export the missing RPD Frame together with the associated material and manufacturing process.
Navigate to:
- "Dental System Control Panel"
- "Import Export"
Export the required RPD Frame configuration.
Step 2: Import the exported configuration into the receiving Dental System installation.
Step 3: Ask the sender to resend the scanned or designed order.

Verifying the RPD Frame
To identify which RPD Frame is used by the order:
Step 1: Open "Dental System Control Panel".
Step 2: Go to "Removables".
Step 3: Open "RPD Frame" and verify that the required frame exists.

This issue was reported as Bug BM-1165 and has been resolved in Dental System 2.21.0.0 and later.
