How to Insert the Height Adapter Correctly into a 3Shape Lab Scanner

09/11/2023

Positioning the Height Adapter

The magnets in the height adapter are positioned in an equilateral triangle, which means that the adapter can be inserted into the scanner in three different positions.

The correct position is when the lines on the rotation plate and height adapter match and face the front of the scanner.

If the height adapter is inserted incorrectly, calibration will not pass and various errors may occur during scanning. For more information, see the article "Calibration failed" errors during lab scanner calibration.

Step 1: Position the height adapter on the rotation plate.

Step 2: Align the lines on the height adapter with the lines on the rotation plate.

Step 3: Make sure the aligned lines face the front of the scanner.

The height adapter for E-Scanners should not be used with F8 scanners, and the F8 height adapter should not be used with E-Scanners.
