How to send a case from LMS to Dental Systems

LMS is now capable of sending cases straight to Dental Systems. To utilize the feature, your lab will need to be running on Dental System 2024. (To upgrade your dental system, please reach out to your reseller. Click here for more information.).  If you set up your LMS site prior to March 6, 2025, you will need to transition to the New Product Catalog to utilized this integration (click here for more information).

Follow the steps below to send cases between your 3Shape LMS and Dental System.  

  1.  Open the case record for the case you want to send. Click “Actions” > Send to Dental System
  2. Select the Action Dropdown 
    In the top-right corner of the case record, click on the action dropdown tab.
  3. Choose "Send to Dental System" 
    From the dropdown options, select “Send to Dental System.”
  4. Confirmation of Successful Submission 
    After selecting the option, you will receive two indicators to confirm the action was successful: 
    1. A green banner will appear at the top of the case record, stating "Case sent to Dental System."
    2. A Dental System icon will appear alongside the case when viewed in the Manufacturer Manager.
  5. Refresh the Dental System 
    After sending the case from LMS, right-click in your Dental System and select the Refresh option. Once the refresh is complete, the case will appear in the Dental System.
  6. Proceed with the Case 
    Once the case is in the Dental System, you can modify or proceed with it as usual.
