The ‘Access Violation in GenericModule.dll’ error randomly happens in Dental System when opening an order in DentalDesigner and other DS applications, or trying to generate CAM output, or when closing DS applications.
The root cause for this is a known bug.
Affected DS versions: DS 2017 (all patches), also reported for DS 2.19.1.0.
Solutions:
- For DS-2017: upgrade to DS 2.18.1.0 (or DS 2.17.3.1 if the customer has Basic package license).
- For DS-2019: upgrade to DS 2.19.2.0.
