USB connection requirements for 3Shape lab scanners

(for PCs purchased NOT from 3Shape)
Applicable for scanner models: all models.
Applicable for ScanServer/ScanSuite versions: all versions.
- The scanner must be connected to a USB 2.0 port;
- The scanner should be the only device in the USB host controller;
- The scanner should be preferably connected to a USB port on the mainboard:
- The scanner should not be connected to USB extenders/splitters/hubs;
- No other devices except mouse (3D mouse), keyboard and dongle should be connected to the PC when using the scanner. Having other devices that require high information traffic can cause “bottlenecks” in sending/receiving information between the PC and the scanner.
USB connection requirements for PCs purchased FROM 3Shape
Applicable for scanner models: D500, R500, D700 (s/n=hxxxxxxxx), D710 (s/n=ixxxxxxxxx), D800, R800, D810, D900, R900, D900L, R900L, D750, R750, D850, R850, D1000, R1000, D2000, R2000, E1, E2, E3, E4.
Applicable for ScanServer/ScanSuite versions: ScanSuite 1.0.9.5 or later.
- The scanner can be connected to a USB 3.0 port;
- The scanner can be connected together with other devices in the USB host controller;
- The scanner should be preferably connected to a USB port on the mainboard;
- The scanner should not be connected to USB extenders/splitters;
