- When starting ScanServer/ScanSuite, the error "USB status error: Device failed enumeration" appears. The scanner may also not be recognized in Device Manager. To learn how to verify this, see "How to find 3Shape lab scanner in Device Manager and update scanner's drivers".
- When trying to open ScanServer or ScanSuite, the error "A 3Shape ScanSuite ready scanner could not be detected" appears.

Applicable scanner models: Any model.
Applicable ScanServer/ScanSuite versions: Any version.
Troubleshooting Steps
Step 1: Check whether the USB connection meets the requirements described in "USB connection requirements for 3Shape lab scanners".
Step 2: Turn the scanner off and on.
Step 3: Try another USB port or USB cable.
Step 4: Make sure the scanner drivers are installed correctly. See "How to find 3Shape lab scanner in Device Manager and update scanner's drivers".
Step 5: If available, try another power supply from another lab scanner. A power supply from the same model can be used, or one from the same scanner series, such as E Red or F-series.
Step 6: Connect the scanner to a different PC and check whether it is recognized.
If the scanner is recognized on a different PC, the root cause of the issue likely lies with the original PC. If the scanner is not recognized on a different PC, the root cause is likely the scanner itself.
