Resolving "Communication failed. HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden" When Saving 3Shape Communicate Credentials

These errors may occur even though the same credentials work correctly when signing in to the 3Shape Communicate Portal.

Error messages:

• "Communication failed. HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden"
• “Server raised error. The email or password you provided is incorrect”

Cause

This issue affects Dental System 2017 and occurs when the 3Shape Communicate password contains certain special characters, such as % or #.

Resolution

Step 1: Change the password for your 3Shape Communicate account and remove special characters such as % or #.

Step 2: Save the updated credentials again in "Dental System Control Panel".

Step 3: If the issue persists, upgrade Dental System to a newer version, where this issue has been resolved.
